Rebel Pride, Never Dies

I am so thankful that Friday night lights are so special in this small town we live in.  My husband grew up in this town and attended Hays High School.  Coy's roots run deep with Rebel Pride.  His team football picture still remains hanging in the High School field house so all can remember and never forget the first team that made it to the State Championship game.  The elementary kids are referred to as Bleacher Creatures and they get to run onto the field with the football team.  The pure joy that radiates from their faces is priceless.  The "run" creates a strong sense of connected community,  cultivates the excitement of "I will be here one day" and instills pride for our hometown at an early age.
