Stained

I would love to post something positive today.  Something meaningful and uplifting.  Today...my heart is stained.

Stained: To taint or tarnish.

Today I stood beside my husband as he hugged and held his good friend that was laying his wife to rest.  As I too gave my condolences, his friend said gently..."She is at rest."

We are are praying for understanding and for peace to the family.

My friends...be thankful for every little thing you have, be it a lot or a little.  If someone told you today, your life would end tomorrow, how would you feel about your journey to this very moment?

I will have to admit, I was raised in a perfect world.  So excuse me as I try to work through the yuck, bad and reality of life that I never knew existed.

Just one more stain to my heart that I try and rub off, cover up and wish would just go away.
