The Grapevine

Gruene, Texas

 THIS PLACE is one of my absolute favorites.  We hit this place up as a family or just the two of us on date nights. It is located in the heart of downtown Gruene.   Gruene, Texas is so special, unique, laid back and rich with history.  I love Grapevine because their doors are always open with a friendly and fun vibe.  The out door seating offers a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and tree climbing for the kids. It is a great spot for people watching and is in walking distance to the famous Gruene Hall, Texas' Oldest Dance Hall.  My husband loves the dance hall and I love this wine joint, so I guess you can say this is our perfection!

 On this particular night we just wanted to get away for a couple hours, have a drink and pick up a pizza on the way home.  Our schedules are so tight during the week, it is nice just to get out on the weekends but sometimes we don't want to spend the money on a babysitter, expensive food and over priced drinks that a lot of the restaurants in ATX can rope you into. Most everywhere in Gruene is reasonably priced, kid friendly and very entertaining.  I highly suggest you make the trip down there and enjoy!
