Plum Creek
I LOVE our special little neighborhood!
Plum Creek has carnivals, festivals, parades and everything special to have as a kid growing up.
For our family, we have made some really great friends...
Last night was "Date Night" for a few of our neighbors, which means it was our turn to watch their kids...

Dates with our daughters
This year we are taking each daughter on their very own date. Being the oldest, Aspen was the first one to pick where she wanted to go with just Coy and me...NO OTHER SISTERS! My girls really do love being with each other and get along very well but the thought of having all of the conversation with mom and dad to themselves... is the greatest thing on earth to them! Aspen wanted to go to Austin's Park and Pizza. We all had a blast!

Welcome 2012

Last night we said goodbye to 2011 at Matt and Susan's home with all of Coy's family. Kids were invited too, which was awesome because I wouldn't want to be without my girls on such a special night! I will post some more pics just as soon as I can!

Sunny...The best friend a girl could have!
I don't think I have mentioned Sunny. I got sunshine on a cloudy day....You are the sunshine of my life...Sunny days make me happy...no it's for REAL! Sunny is the light of my life (sorry children) but she is the best girlfriend any girl/woman could ever have. I had to put girl - slash- woman because I have known my BFF, Sunny, since I was 10 years old...and now, I am 22 (if you believe that, I really appreciate it!) Seriously, we have been best friends for such a long time. I knew early on...like 7th grade...that this was the greatest person in my life and I knew then our friendship was forever. That 7th grade year we became super close and have never let the tight bond loosen. If I think about it and if I sit back and reflect over all the years of our friendship...we are like sisters, soul mates, ment-to-be friends forever...God must have had a plan because this is not your typical "oh I really like hanging out with this girl" type of friendship. It is so much more. I love her!

Please forgive me...
Here I go again... trying to explain why I have been SO darn busy and because of that, I don't have the personal time to blog! The truth is, I feel like I am constantly blogging all day long in my head with thoughts that I probably shouldn't be putting out there on the web...I am looking for the courage to really let myself go! I want to make this work! I want to feel comfortable expressing my thoughts, like and dislikes on the World, Wide, Web...But who am I? Who cares? I suppose I should just start with something small...
Yesterday...A friend of mine asked, "What, exactly is your workout schedule and tell me everything you eat in a day!" Funny thing is, she followed up with..."In high school you were healthy but not really in shape. Now I look at some of your pictures on Facebook and think...sweet little Brooke is ripped!" bahahahaha! she is so funny! I am not hardly ripped but yes...I do look different than I did in high school :))
So here is what I shared with her:
Monday: Bodypump (ladies, RUN to your nearest gym that offers Les Mills classes and you will NOT be disappointed in the results. The great thing is ANYONE can do the classes!)
Tuesday: 2 mile run in the neighborhood (BTW...I HATE running!)
Wednesday: Bodypump
Thursday: 3mile run around Town Lake or any other place in Austin for that matter that just takes my mind off of running while I am running. I HATE running!
Friday: Spin class or Bodycombat...I am usually very sore and tired by the end of the week so whatever feels like might be more of a "fun" class, that is what I do.
FOOD:
I only drink coffee before my workouts.
Oatmeal after workouts
Turkey wrap for lunch
protein bar for snack
and...Whatever I want for dinner!
Sometimes I have a small dessert...sometimes not.
OH...and I drink A LOT of red wine when the kids go to bed, hehe! You thought I was going to say water, didn't you?
Yes, I only drink water during the day!
