LICK- Honest Ice Creams

I am so excited to share all about LICK-Honest Ice Creams today.  It has become our new favorite find!  Healthy deliciousness abounds at this creative ice cream shoppe.  Serving up flavors like Dark Chocolate with Olive Oil & Sea Salt, Caramel Salt Lick, Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean and my little one's personal favorite Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint.  So you might wonder, does she know that is the name of her ice cream?  Absolutely not my friends!  All she knows is that it is "way better" than any other sherbet she has ever had.  She is correct!  This ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had.  LICK offers pure, whole ingredients and uses only local farmers around ATX.  I believe in their philosophy and you will enjoy their tasty ice cream, I promise!  LICK is the place to go after a date night, during the hot summer days or just for a sweet treat with the kids.

Grab your sweet tooth and go now!

Driftwood Estate Winery

We had a gorgeous weekend in ATX.  The weather was perfect and the sun was shinning.  We decided to to take advantage of our slow and beautiful Saturday by driving out to the awe-inspiring Driftwood Estate Winery.  This place is one of our most treasured locations to watch the sun go down.  The views are spectacular.  The mood is very laid back and peaceful.  Families, children and pets are welcome.  If your week gets you all wound up, I suggest you head out to Driftwood and unwind with a small glass of wine.

400 Rabbits

I have mentioned before, one of my favorite places to view a movie is at the Alamo Drafthouse.  It's fun, it's funky, it's Austin at it's finest.  Just recently the Drafthouse opened up a location close by our home and we couldn't be more thrilled.  One of our favorite things to do at this location is enjoy a quick drink and a small appetizer before our movie at 400 Rabbits.  This quaint bar is actually located inside the Drafthouse.  Also it's a perfect spot to meet up with friends and chit-chat before your show begins.  400 Rabbits offers small tables for guests or seating at the bar along with board games to play at your leisure.  I find the board games to be an added bonus because it helps the children stay occupied while Coy and I pretend to be on a date by ourselves.

On this particular night, we actually were by ourselves and we went to see The Wolf of Wall Street.  Definitely for adults only!  I thought it was written well and the acting was effective however it was over three hours of lewd material and that is just not my thing.  I am wanting to see Anchorman 2 and also get back to 400 Rabbits!  Hopefully soon.

If you get a chance to swing by my side of town, check out 400 Rabbits!
A salty dog for me.  Small, delicious and low cal!
