The Hunger Games

Aspen.
She is unique.
She is 8.
She is smarter than I am.
She asked me to get this book for her.  It has been somewhat of a debate in my neighborhood as to whether or not we should let our young children read The Hunger Games.  I am excited, that she is excited to read!  Who wants to read boring books?  Currently, I am reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Apparently, that is an inappropriate book for me to read as well. ha!

  1. Hey Brooke - Heather here - love following your blog. I read all three of the Hunger Games books, yeah it could be considered controversial for kids but I say go for it as you are. The fact she likes/wants to read is all I would care about too...

I'm reading Bloom - by Kelle Hampton at the moment, check it out when you get done with Fifty Shades of Grey. You'll have to shoot me a note too when you're done and let me know if it's a good read - I keep hearing all this buzz about it but would love to hear from someone I k now if it's worth it.

    Take care!

    1. Heather! So good to hear from you. Fifty Shades is starting off slow...but I am sure it will pick up mid book, apparently that is where the hoopla is! I will get back to you and let you know. I will pick up Bloom, thanks for the recommendation!
