It was so magical, wonderful, peaceful and beautiful...to be in a place where we took the time to relax and enjoy all the beautiful nature around us. This place is a MUST on the to-do list! It's clean, small, and full of joyful good-ol people. The girls and I love Barton Springs however I spend most of my time there having to explain why a man is in a thong and why a person is covered in tattoos from their eye brows to their toe nails. Please don't get me wrong, I am all for self expression and I have had my fair share of pink hair days however it was nice to focus more on the facts of nature than individuals in adult society. We explored and caught sight of a red cardinal. He was gorgeous. Also, what we thought was a beautiful butterfly turned out to be an elephant moth. My oldest and my middle child spent SIX HOURS swinging from a rope! I could NOT believe it, the entertainment of a simple rope, brought so much JOY. Picnicking and occasional dips into the cold shallow water was a hit for the three year old! If you get the chance...I highly suggest you swing on by!!!
